find safety in many expressions of the self, all living in myself at once. From the hyper confident alter-ego to the over sensitive people pleaser with the need to be small. ''SjálfsElska'' is a collection of expressive and naive self portrait drawings using intentional simplistic methods and automatic thoughtlessness to express how the selfs feel.
The word "sjálfs-elska" has a negative connotation in icelandic but is positive in the direct translation to "self-love" and would rather be translated to "selfishness".
