Our downtown library is in the Grófin building at Tryggvagata 15. The library is located on the first, second, and fifth floors of the building. It also houses the Reykjavík Municipal Archives and the Reykjavik Museum of Photography. (Exhibition space will be on the ground floor) It’s often very lively here, as we put on a lot of events, workshops, and exhibitions. At the same time, it’s easy to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown, explore our reading area, and get lost in the stacks. You're welcome to come and use the facilities as you please – to hang out, meet other people or host an event. Varied library holdings in many languages available.
